I’m not sure if it was a Globex issue or a Zen-Fire issue, but I had horrendous data issues today starting at about 14:30 ET. I see now I need to add a check in my automated strategy to turn itself off when we print 100 bars in 10 seconds or so. I’ll have to think through this a bit, but something is needed before I end up in the poor house.

It’s frustrating from this side of the arena since I keep getting different stories depending on who I talk to. GCC at Globex said they experienced a “slow down” that only lasted a few minutes. When I call my Broker’s Trade Desk, I am told to look at a chart and decide for myself if the problem is fixed (not mentioning any names, Mirus). Other traders that trade the same instruments I trade had no problems today using AMP Global and ESignal – which leads me to believe it’s not an exchange issue. I was getting bad data for at least 1.5 hours.

Anyone know what the issue was today? And more importantly, how can I contact Zen-Fire directly to find out the status of their network when I need to?

Hi Scott,

I am unaware of this issue so cannot comment, but Zen-Fire is more of a technology backbone than a company. You will just have to talk directly with your brokerage.
