I tried to send a support email from within NT5 and it doesn't seem to work. Is there some setting that needs to be set before attempting tht?

This is a known issue in some situations. At this time, we are unable to pinpoint it. For now, please use support@ninjatrader.com (mailto:support@ninjatrader.com) via standard email program.

Thanks.

Hi - Is there a resolution to this problem yet? My friend and I have the same problem on all our installations.

Thnx

What NT version are you using? You can check via Help-->About menu.

Since I believe Beta 3 we changed we replaced the underlying mail engine which should resolve the issue you experienced. We will be releasing a production version tomorrow so you can wait until then to upgrade.

Have now upgraded and problem still exists. More importantly I now cannot cancel from the mail screen or x out. I need to ctl alt del and restart ninja.

thnx

I checked norton security and ninja is sending to a German SMTP server 81.169.163.73:25. I also see a message back but size is reported as 0 bytes.

I have turned norton off but nothing changes.

After several minutes windows reports a message that "the message could not be sent to the smtp server. transcode error 0x800ccc6f. server response was 554 please check your smtp server is set to smtp.wanadoo.co.uk."

The looks like that maybe my ISP will only allow outgoing smtp via it's own mail server. Therefore how would I change ninja's server so that I get smtp.wanadoo.co.uk instead of smtp.serverkomptenz.de

thnx

Thanks for the idea. There is no way to change the smtp server at this time. Will add to list for future consideration.
