Hi i have been playing around with NT and it looks very nice. I just want to clarify the following before going further:

1) What is needed to go full blown live trading mode
A) Data Feed: Elitetrader reviews suggest zen-fire is the best, but where is the official site to signup for zen-fire feed? cant find it on google
B) $50ish monthly license to use NT to submit live orders. Do i still need a broker such as IB or OptionsXpress? Or does NT also act as a broker?

2) How do i replay an entire trading day? ie for all sp500 stocks. Is below correct?
A) Setup data feed (zen-fire), then make sure NT is connected to it.
B) Enable tools->data->run market replay recorder
C) Leave my pc on while i goto work
D) When back, file->connect->market replay connection

but how does it know which stock symbols to record for replay? also will the replay be in ticks / sec just like the normal real time feed?

Thank you!

1) You just need to contact our sales department at sales [at] ninjatrader [dot] com. You will also need a brokerage account and a data provider to trade live with.

A) Zen-Fire is a technology branding and not a company per se. Some companies that use the Zen-Fire technology include Mirius Futures and Amp Futures. http://www.mirusfutures.com/ http://www.ampfutures.com/

B) NT is NOT a brokerage or a data provider. You will need a brokerage to trade live.

2) To replay a trading day you will need to first record it. You can record it turning Market Replay Recording on. http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/Overview14.html
Your steps below are correct. The replay will record whatever instruments you have open. If you have it running on a chart or in the Market Analyzer it will record it. The Market Replay will record tick for tick as it happens in real-time. When you play it back it will happen exactly how it happened in real life.

Hi thanks for the response! just a followup question on zen-fire, i went to those 2 sites but it seems they all focus on futures and are brokers that require you to open a trading account? is there such thing as a zen-fire data feed for stocks(i dont trade futures) i can just pay a monthly fee and hook it up to ninjatrader?

Unfortunately ZenFire only supports futures.
