View Full Version : Clarification On v5.x6 DOM Options

3 questions:

Asv5.x6 stands now, we can use either DOM. After 1/1/06 will we still be able select the DOM if we opt in for the Static DOM version, and if so, will NT be able to distinguish between them so the TT fees will only apply when the Static SuperDOM is used? Am envisioning using Static for short term trades and Dynamic for position/swing trades where time isn't an issue. The purpose is to be able to use the performance module to keep stats on all trades.

Also, is v4.0.43 still going to be available?

And lastly, will the new TT fee enabled versions be able to distinguish between trades initiated and managed through the DOMs vs TWS and only apply fees when applicable.

Thanks in advance.

1. If you choose the static dom version then all trades dynamic or static will be subject to TT fees.

2. 4.0.43 is not yet released but will be available on January 1 st. This version is subject to TT fees.

3. V4.0.43 wil not distinguish and therefore any trades taken in TWS while NT is connected will be subject to TT fees. V5.100.5 or greater will distinguish between TWS initiated trades and will not be subject to TT fees.

Looks like you've got everything covered. A stressful transition, I'm sure. Just want to say that your responsiveness to our needs has been impressive and is very much appreciated.

Using NT v5.x6 static DOM version, if we place trades using TWS to avoid TT fees on some trades, will these trades be recorded in the performance manager or excluded?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the executions are recorded for performance calculations.

So, can we download both the static and dynamic DOM versions, try both, and choose which one we wish to trade with, or either alternate between the two by choice? Like, can I have them both functional on my computer, but not nessarily *run* them at the same time while tradng.

Or do we have to take a stand now, and choose which DOM we wish to use, and stick with that?

I second al_gorithms praise. Haven't seen this sort of service often..

There are actually not two versions, both doms are currently available in the same version. Come Jan 1, we will turn off the static dom for those who have not elected to use it through server based licensing. You can stick it out with the dynamic next week and if you don't like it, let us know and we will turn on the static.

For those of use still using 4.0.42 and just switching to v5.x6, after 1/1/06 will we still have access to our performance stats in v4.0.42 or will we need to export it to a spread sheet before then?

You will still have access to them, just upgrade to 4.0.43.

Wait...are you saying we can somehow carry forward are performance stats into V5 from our V4?? After upgrading to the highest V4 than how do we get the transaction.nt file into V5???

No I am not saying that.
