I'm exploring whether its possible to take EasyLanguage generated orders from TradeStation or MultiCharts and send them into X Trader.

My executions would be handled by a prop firm, which uses X Trader as their platform. So my questions are:

can Ninjatrader interface with the prop firms TT gateway as standard, without any backend work required from them?

or does NT require me to run X Trader locally, and interface with the API?

if someone could clarify how NT works with TT, it would be appreciated.

Can NT collect TS easylanguage orders for execution straight into a TT gateway?

In general NT is able to send orders received from TS to the TT infarstructure/servers. However, your broker would need to enable his servers. Please ask you broker to contact us at "sales AT ninjatrader DOT com" for details.

thanks for the prompt response.

would you mind elaborating on whats involved in enabling their TT servers?

is it just a case of opening up FIX access? or more involved.

I'd like to be able to guage how much work would be involved for the IT guys before I approach them & request it.

At a high level, TT's FIX Adapter needs to be installed. It sits between their Guardian Gateways and the NinjaTrader client. I am not qualied to answer the effort involved in installing and configuring the FIX Adapter. TT directly will be your best resource for this.

ok - so this FIX plugin is the adapter provided by TT, rather than NinjaTrader? and Ninja connects via FIX, correct?

if thats the case, i think they probably already have the FIX adapter installedm, which would be pretty good news.

The FIX Adapter (named of TT actual product) is from TT not NinjaTrader. We then connect to this adapter.
