Ninja Version 6.0.1006 on both machines
Sometimes multiple times a day I get a lock up, says not responding, then have to end program, then ninja shuts down
Fairly new to ninja, but have other charting and trading
platforms running with no problems.
I have this problem on two seperate machines, running on two seperate data feeds, on one common internet connection.
It seems like it will happen even with no other programs running, just Ninja running
You go make some change on a chart or something else, out of the blue , just locks up.
Have some third party software programs installed
Not sure if it only happens when they are running???
Ninja seems very slow when loading charts using this soft ware.

Im not much of a tech guy

Failed to send email
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

Get same from both machines

Have you setup the SMTP? You can do this in Tools->Options->Misc tab.

When I adjust the scaling for the chart in the x axis, my NinjaTrader can sometimes reach 100 percent cpu utilization with the memory used by NT as shown in the task manager doubling or more. I need to kill NT because at this point it locks up and is unresponsive.

I tried removing all indicators and still got the bug. However, when I removed all old drawing objects (trendlines), it got rid of the problem for me. Maybe it is coincidence but I have one old chart I saved that can still lock up (has old drawing objects) if anyone needs me to reproduce the problem.

Hi bearishtrader,

can you please open the chart in question, with indicator, trendlines etc. on it. Then 'before' lock-up close NT (without closing the chart before). Then go to folder: <user>\My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\workspaces\, zip the file 'Default.xml' and send it to: "christian AT ninjatrader DOT com" ?

Thanks,
Christian

Hi bearishtrader !

The performance problem (hangup in chart) you experienced is resolved and will be available in the next beta of NinjaTrader 6.5 (!).

Thanks for your assistance,
Christian
