Hello,
I have destroyed something with my stoplimit bug. When I use NTv5, I can not see my account in the basic window even though the control center says I am connected.
Also, when I go to disconnect, the IB entry is not highlighted. I've attached the log and trace files into one txt file.
I am using IB version 851.9 so I can use NTv4.

I downloaded the latest of IB-TWS, Java and NTv5 and still can't connect to IB on my laptop.

Additional Info.
NT 4.0.42 works with the latest IB but NTv5 ....3 doesn't.

That is incorrect. NT 4.0.42 must use a TWS 851.XX or earlier. NT5 works with the latest TWS.

I'm using NT4.042 with TWS Build 853.8 without any problems. Am I not understanding something?
BTW, I've not upgraded to NT v5.x yet as I haven't had time. NT v4.042 does everything I need. Will I need to upgrade at some point in time? Haven't have any notices advising of this yet. Don't need any surprises.

We don't guarantee that it will work. There is a very minor change that IB did with their API in the latest version, if you have no problems, then no worries. At this time, we plan on terminating V4 by year end so you have one month to become familiar with V5. A notice with instructions will go out 1st week of December.

I understand the need to go to v5, but if my phantom connection problem between IB and TWS is not fixed, then what shall I do?

Workaround for Phantom Connection:
I changed the clock setting to 12hr from 24hr on my Gateway laptop and the problem seems to dissappear.
Background:
I noticed yesterday afternoon that for every order I sent, I got multiple messages warning about the invalid time. When I exited NTv5 and restarted NTv5 the phantom connection problem appeared. So I changed the clock setting, rebooted and the problems dissapeared.
If they reappear I"ll let you know !
