Hello , among the actions , I do not see the cancellation of a limit order . How is it possible to cancel a limit order as long as it has not been filled ?

Thank you .

A limit order is cancelled at the end of every bar and only kept alive if resubmitted.

Why are limit orders canceled at the end of each bar?

It seems to me that having to resubmit a new order after each bar puts your order at the end of the queue each time, thus lowering your chances of getting fills.

Thanks

In NT6.5 you can keep the orders alive with the use of a liveUntilCancelled parameter.

If it worked that way then yes, you would be put at the end of the queue...

Fortunately, orders are not cancelled at the end of the bar if they are re-submitted. Only at the end of a bar if they are not re-submitted they are cancelled. If re-submitted and the price and size of the order was the same as the previous bar, NinjaTrader will leave your order as is preserving your spot in the queue.
