Is it possible to transfer strategies and/or other settings from version 4 to version 5?

What about the performance record? Can the transaction.?? file be cut/pasted into the V5 from the V4 or ever just moved as a file into V5 after deleting the clean newly installed V5 transations file?

No they can't. This is because NT4 recorded completed strategies as its source for performance reporting. NT5 uses actual executions.
