This happened to me twice this morning. My question is, is the an error from my side, namely perhaps my internet connection or my computer? And, is there anything I can do to avoid this situation?

Can you downgrade to TWS 851.9.

It could be that you need to copy/paste the link into your browser

Can you use this link instead of the one I posted earlier:

The other link will be available for a certain period of time. This one you can use as long as V4 will be available.

TWS 853 changed behaviour regarding how order states are raised and thus NT4 has not been updated to reflect this change. NT4 requires TWS 851 or earlier (link to 851 in an earlier post) and NT5's next release has been updated to working the latest TWS 853.

Now that IB has discontinued TWS 851, how can I get NT4 to work ?
I tried NT5, but didnt like the way stop loss and profit target adjusted, and the trade report does not list strategies.
Is there anyway I can get NT4 with IB to work ?

Just connect V4, it works fine. V5 stop loss and profit targets have an option for single click modification.
