Hi,

I connected to eSignal and the charts load just fine, but don't update at all afterwards. Also had a short look at T&S, no quote prices, but might have been to impatient to comfirm that it stays empty.
There were no errors in the logs.

Cheers

Maybe try when the market is open?

Thanks for the suggestion Josh, it is not an issue with FX. The T&S should at least have the quotes.

Hi Rollins:

Please see this post and verify the following on why your charts may not be updating.

I am having the same issue with esignal. I look at theone min chart of ADD index in 6 and it works without a problem and updates every 6 seconds as it should.

Same chart in 6.5 loads historical and doesnt move afterwords. It refreshes though. I have also reset and compacted my database in 6.5. I checked the chart open and minimum tick size dialog and they are the same in 6 and 6.5

thanks

a) Which datafeed/broker connection are you connected to? Also, in which connection sequence (i.e. I connect to Open Tick and then IB)?
I am connecting to esignal only

b) Do you receive any data for the insrument in the Control Center or SuperDOM?
It doesnt appear in the superdom as its an index

c) Which instrument are you attempting to receive data for?
ADD ($ADD for esignal)

d) Can you re-produce this behavior? Could you please provide exact steps.
Yes

e) What happens when you close your chart and open a New Chart under
File > New > Chart?
It updates to the latest historical and then doesnt update.

f) Have you installed any 3rd Party NinjaTrader indicators/strategies? If yes, please specify which ones and of which version (if possible).
Not in 6.5 yet.

Hi Geoarb:

Thank you for reporting.

I was able to re-produce on my pc. I could not receive eSignal real time data for the indices in NT 6.5 beta. I could only receive historical data.

I will report to development and we will further investigate.

Best regards,

Hi,

I checked everything again, FX data is simply not working for me, I get no quotes at all on the T&S and SuperDOM. As a comparision I opened an opentick YM chart which moved just fine.

This is a bug introduced with 6.5. That's for letting us know.

Hi,

I am running NinjaTrader 6.5 without any add-ons. I've connected eSignal for real-time data, then IB for broker feed.

NinjaTrader charts do not display real-time data (they have to manually refreshed), nor are they able to to display Daily charts (no matter how often you manually refresh). My DOM is unable to retrieve any data from IB.

Connecting to IB alone, charting as well as the DOM works fine.

Is this DOM problem due to the bug or am I missing a step here? Thanks.

Aaron.

This bug has been fixed and released with the latest beta 4.

Regarding your issue, why do you want to connect to both? eSignal for historical data, IB for real-time?

Hi Ray,

I was hoping to connect to eSignal for both historical and real-time charting.

And connect to IB for purely order entry purposes through DOM.

That is possible right?

Cheers!

Hello:

Thank you for posting.

Yes, it is possible to use eSignal for real time and historical data and route your orders via IB.

To do this, go to File > Connect > eSignal and then go File > Connect > IB.

Your data will be coming from eSignal and you will only use your IB connection for order execution.

Enjoy your day and happy trading.

Then connect to eSignal first.

- Do you have a real-time subscription to eSignal?
- Assuming yes, DOM will display depth if you have a level II subscription
- Select any instrment that you have a data subscription for in the Control Center Orders tab, level 1 data should update in this panel
- If yes, then your charts will update
- If no, then either you do not have a subscription for this data or something else must be the problem
