Hi
Ihave just opened a second IB account and I will move everything from my exisitng account to the new one, and then close the old one. .......don't ask!
Anyway, I have changed the account number, username and PW on the NT Setting Manager, but NT cannot link to IB anymore. Can you help please?
Thank you

Hi Gretrade,
Have you also changed you username and PW in TWS?
Also have you checked your settings under Configure--> API in TWS?
http://www.ninjatrader.com/main_ib_connectivity.htm
And check if your Socket Port in TWS is set to 7496 as well

1) well, yes. What do you mean? I am now logged on TWS with my new Username and PW. I am using it, together with SierraChart (I have changed the setting there into the new Un and PW) and I have no probs there....
2) settings are as you said, port is 7496.
Basically, in NT I have changed, in Setting Manager:
Start up: I have changed the account number to the new one
IB: I have changed UN and PW
All the rest is the same as before. The log says: attempted IB connection failed

Can you change the Client ID value in Sierra Charts, it has to be a different value than zero. You might need to contact Sierra to ask them how to change the value

I did go to SC and was told that ID value is never zero. I have also tried other suggestions, but I am still unable to connect. Anything else I can try?

OK, let’s try again.
I have two sets of NT, one on my PC and one on my laptop. The one on my PC does not work, as you know, after I have changed my IB account. By the way, it does not connect with the old settings either (I have not closed my old IB account yet).
The one on my laptop does work, after having changed my IB account.
The only difference in settings between the two is that on my laptop I do not even have to fill in the user name and PW boxes (they are in fact blank) in the Settings Manager. On my PC version, it does not matter what I do, it never connects.
I have even tried to uninstall and re-install NT: no change (strangely on the re-installed version all my settings and strategies were still there….)
Sierra Chart said that their ID client is never set to zero.
What else can I try?
Thank you
