My short search hasn't come up with a suggestion for this feature.
I think it would make the platform more convenient to use for non-programmers. Thanks to your excellent way of how indicators are developed this is not a big deal for me, but it would make NT a bit more flexible. I have seen a couple of other platforms by now and this programming features makes development a charm.

As always grateful,

Could you give an example? When would someone want to do this? I've used one indicator from other indicators I've coded quite a number of times. Are you talking about a wizard feature, perhaps? Or what....?

Hey KBJ,

Maybe I didn't make myself clear, what I would find useful is to add and indicator to a chart and then add a different 2nd one. The 2nd one can be configured to get its input from first indicator, without having to code anything.

This would also solve your line+bar plot problem, you'd simply add a MA with a period of one to your histogram.

Hope this is more understandable

Cheers

OK, I get it. The 2nd indicator would run off one of the plots created by the first indicator, as opposed to Open, Close, Hi, Low, Median, Volume, or Typical.

I could see a few applications for that.

As far as using a feature like this instead of the proposed, new Plot Type of BarLine (as mentioned in http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3875) (http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3875%29),
that would give an alternative way to generate the same plot, but it would still require loading two indicators, which I what I'm trying to get away from.

This is already on our list for V7.

Thanks Ray,

I suppose that will mean in about a year or so, but good things take time(no real release date required).
