lost DOM datafeed with new TWS Build 851.7 download

i just downloaded the new TWS update Build 851.7 and lost my NTDOM feed. NT says i am connected to IB. I had not previously updated to NT 4.0.42, so i did so and it did not resolve the issue. I have the latest Java update (i believe).

socket port on both programs is 7496. TWS config/API appears correct. It's not a "Show Depth" issue - i get no data at all.

any hints on what i overlooked would be appreciated

i should add two other comments. Prices do not show up in the center column of the DOM. Also, I clicked on the 'Center' button and i get six zeros on the buy side, one zero on the sell side, but the zeros do not move when "centering" with the middle scroll wheel
