Hello,
In NT 7 v.2, I found a bug using period templates.
Basically, when you save a period template and apply it using the Toolbar menu, it does not work. However, the template is applied correctly when using keystrokes.
To duplicate the problem:
Load any instrument onto a Daily chart using the default settings
Open the Data Series menu to edit the 'Day' Period Type template
Change "Load data based on" to Bars from Days.
Change "Bars to Load" to 1000 from 50
Right click and select "Set Default for 'Day' Period Type"
Click OK
Change period using the Toolbar menu to Weekly
Change period back to Daily using Toolbar menu - you will see it will load up 365 Days of data, irrespective of your previously set 'Day' settings.
Now change period to Weekly again
Change period back to Daily using the 1D keystroke combination - you will see that your 1000-bar settings for the Day period will be applied correctly.
Conclusion: Applying Period Type settings with the Toolbar does not work.
Thanks,
