Under Format Data Series / Range Settings, I keep setting my charts to load only a set number of bars (300 or 500). However, when I leave NT running for a couple of days, the range settings all get changed to a "number of days" look back period. For example a short tickframe chart that I set to load 300 bars will change to 8 or 9 days, which represents a few thousand bars. These extra, unwanted bars are making my charts relatively slow and unresponsive.
Is there any way to preserve the number of bars setting in each chart?
Thank you.
Regards,
P.S. I keep the charts running for days because I have tick-based indicators that only calculate values accurately when then run in real time (since the historical bars use only the OHLC for each period). I do understand that I could simply update the range settings when they're out of whack, but then I will lose my accurate indicator values for historical periods. I wish you would add a feature to replay ticks for historical periods. This would be great for accurately loading tick-based indicators and more realistic strategy backtesting.
Thanks again.
