The Bin64 directory is emptied out and the executable in X64 directory won't run?

What happened?

It appears that x86(32bit) and X64(64bit) have been integrated? I can now run Zenfire 64bit adapter in the 32bit version of NT. Is this a correct assumption about 32 and 64 bit NT now integrated?

DmanX, how did you uprade to R2 and which OS are you using? Have you tried to repair the installation in the Window Control Panel already? Would that restore the 64 bit icons and version?

Thanks,

Win7 64bit. Upgraded from link that came up in NT. Tried repair but no change.

Might have to try an uninstall then reinstall.

Ok, thanks - that would've been my next suggestion after the repair, please let me know if that fixes it for you.

Yes, a reinstall got things sorted out properly.

*wipes brow*

All good now. Thanks for the support.

Bertrand,
I just had an issue with the X64 install and now this version does not install from the website link.

I uninstalled NT7R2, reinstalled and the X64 version did not get installed.

Next steps?

Done,
Had to e-mail them manually since the Mail To Support function does not seem to work with my old POP settings.
Any forum threads you can provide that helps debug the Mail to Support issue?
Yahoo and Gmail accounts are the issues.

Ok, thanks we will look out for them - have you tried using your ISP's own settings and SSL as option as well, NT7 would support it now...

Yes,
I have used the generic Yahoo POP settings with and without SSL utilizing several different port settings.
I will try to troubleshoot it later when I have more time to focus on it.
I have not been able to get this function to work correctly since 6.5.

Install and run it administrator. That's what I did the 2nd time around when I reinstalled it.

I ran it as Administrator. Same issue.

I am going to uninstall it completely and try again once more to see if the X64 prompts are available during the install.

Hello,

I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit). I've installed NT 7.2. When I click on the <NT 7 (64-bit)> icon I get the following message :

"Unable to connect to database 'Data Source ="C:\Users\rcSingleton\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\NinjaTrader.sdf"':ObjectSpace: Connection String is Invalid - Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

If I click on the <NT 7> icon NT comes up in 32-bit mode fine.

When I uninstall and reinstall NT 7.2 (running as administrator), I still see the above message when I try to start NT 7.2 (64-bit).

Have you seen this problem before?

Regards,
R. C.

Correct, you would want to install into an admin user account.

gyoung, if you like contact me later at support at ninjatrader dot com with your POP3 settings used, I would like to check into and test on my end.

R.C. - Please ensure both the 32 and 64 bit SQL CE installs are done as laid out here by MS - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=E497988A-C93A-404C-B161-3A0B323DCE24&displaylang=en

OK, so what is the procedure for a trouble free x64 install? I remember having this same issue when I installed 7.0.1000.1

Why does this have to be difficult?

I'm afraid to do these updates when they are released.

Please post the procedure for doing the update for Win7 x64 users.

thanks.

There's no special procedure in place, the issue from RC was not related to the upgrade - it could happen on a regular fresh install as well. Which issue do you have currently with upgrading to NT7 R2?

I had the same problem DmanX had. I had to reinstall and repair. That fixed it.

Why are there always issues when upgrading to a new version? This happens every time. Can you please check you builds before they are made available for download.

The issues are present for x64 win7 users.

Jason, I'm sorry to hear about your issues: we do test the builds internal on different configurations and in 32 / 64 bit before official rollout and we did not run into such issues as you unfortunatelty experienced.

This same thing has happened on both .1 and .2 upgrades.

I'll report back if this happens again on .3 when it comes out.
