turn off sound in strategy

when we run a strategy, how do you turn off the sounds for orders ordered, closed etc?

I did uncheck all sounds in Tools --> options--> General, but it still announces all orders placed, cancelled, closed etc

Hi kumaresh11,

Those are the only settings in Ninja that you need to turn off. The strategy may have sounds coded. If you can edit, look for PlaySound() or Alert() statements.

It would be very useful to have a global MUTE capability. it would turn off all the order handling sounds, as well as strategy and DOM sounds.

Thanks for the suggestion, ssylwester. For sure, it can be challenging sometimes to track down the source of the sounds.

Newer versions of Windows (Vista+) offer volume controls you can set per application. You may find this useful to mute NinjaTrader. Click the speaker icon in your windows tray and then mixer to get to this.
