Ninja logs on to IB just fine but the five levels of price data won't fill in on the DOM. I can only get the highest bid/lowest offer. I've been using Ninja for a few years and this is a new problem for me. I've re-started ninja/TWS 4 times, and I've even rebooted then started ninja with no other programs running. Other traders in my chat room are not having the this problem, now. They have had it in the past.

Can you help? I have Ninja V4.0.38 GF and the latest version of TWS.

Thanks,

Cliff

Hi Cliff,

You have to make sure that 'Show Depth' is enabled. You can enable it by right clicking in the DOM and select 'Show Depth' from the drop down menu.

I see that you have version 4.0.38, our current version is 4.0.40. If you like, I can send you a link to download version 4.0.40

Send an email to vincent@ninjatrader.com (mailto:vincent@ninjatrader.com) and I will send you the link

Thanks, that fixed it. I can't imagine how it got un-checked. Like I said, I've been using ninja for quite some time.

Thanks,

Cliff

I'm having trouble with getting market depth on the fourth Superdom window that I open of four. The first three are OK, but the fourth will not show depth info. I have checked the properties and "Show Market Depth" is set true in all of the windows.

I'm running V 5.0.1000.2 with IB.

Thanks,

Mac

Hi Mac,

When having more than 3 DOMs open and trading through IB, there could be some problems with data coming in. Can you trade with just a maximum of 3 DOMs open?

I can, but it is not optimal. I follow several futures and trade the one that presents a setup. I did not want to have to change instruments and potentially fumble a trade.

I do also have eSignal for a feed and it seems to do the same thing. I have also tried to connect to both at the same time with no luck.

IB has a limit of 3 market depth streams. You can't have anymore, that's why it does not show. This is an IB limitation NOT NinjaTrader.

Thanks for the info. I did not know that.

I will have to rethink my setup.
