How can I attached a simple Profit Target / Stopl Loss ATM for an OCO order. Example: When I have the ATM button "ON" I am not allowed to place an OCO order. As soon as I enter the second leg of the OCO, I get a message "you can not submit an exit order to a strategy until any of its entry orders have been filled."

Thanks.

Hi aligator,

Thank you for your note.

When attaching an ATM strategy to an OCO order pair you will want to re-select the ATM strategy template to be applied otherwise you will receive that error.

As an example NinjaTrader has a breakout/ breakdown which uses these steps for entry of OCO enabled orders with attached ATM strategies.

You can accomplish a breakout/breakdown approach by:

Right click in the SuperDOM and select the menu "OCO Order" to enable this function
For your first order, select the desired option from the "ATM Strategy" drop down list
Submit your stop order to buy above the market
For your second order, select the desired option from the "ATM Strategy" drop down list
Submit your stop order to sell below the market
CRITICAL Right click in the SuperDOM and select the menu "OCO Order" to disable this function

The reason for this has to do with the Strategy Selection Mode, and more information at:\http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt7/index.html?atm_strategy_selection_mode.htm
