need help installing an indicator

hi can anyone help me install a nt 7 indicator on my nt 6.5 i had someone help me to make an indicator but the problem is he exported it using nt 7, he advised me if i took the .cs file & placed it where all the other indicators were then i could edit & press f5 to recompile it & it should work..... but here is where all the problem starts... i dont have an edit option uder the TOOLS tab, all i see is (instrument manager, historical data, account connections, options) thats it, i tried placing the indi in its appropriate folder & i tried to import a regular nt 6.5 indicator cause i know thats another way of compiling an indicator, cause every time an indicator is imported nt automatically compiles all the indicators, but if there is an error it refuses i-e nt 7 indicator so instance....

i would appreciate anyones help...

im still having trouble to edit the nt7 indicator, it gives me a "GRID CATEGORY" missing error.
