Hi, I just subscribed to opentick because i wanted to exchange it for DTN.
When I try to connect though, the application crashes.

The only clues I can provide are:
- NT 6.0.1000.5
- NT installed as admin, running as non priviledged user(no probs)
- subscribed to the feed a couple of mins ago, so probably not enabled yet(?)

Here's some debugging info, if there's a stack trace or something else in another location I'll happily provide it.

Here's it, dunno how helpful it is though.
Unfortunately I can't copy the contents of the error report, but wouldn't know if it would help at all.
My guess is that account isn't enabled yet, but that shouldn't crash NT.

Hmm weird.

Would you mind sending me your account credentials to "dierk AT ninjatrader DOT com". I could check before the account actually is enabled? Thanks

Dierk,
I found out that opentick requires the dcom-server-process service, which i had on disabled(damn them power users).
My charts get populated now, i was wondering if it even worked, because of the speed, i'm just used to DTN.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry, don't know what the "dcom-server-process" is. Please elaborate. Thanks

Dierk, neither do i but i disabled some services which i don't have a use for.
Once in a while some application refuses to work and i just try to figure out if service X could be the reason.

After surfing a bit around it makes sense. Opentick's communication model seems to be based on dcom which is microsoft's distributed objects framework. I'm not familiar with it but the service's name would have been CORBA server process it would have been clear to me.
Just as an explanation, i suppose most people have already tuned out :).
