Hi zwoop,
Thank you for your post.
In addition to getting data from other users you can get this type of historical data through one of our supported data providers, such as Kinetick. More information on those providers below.
http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt7/index.html?historical_data.htm
With Kinetick you would have access of up to 30 days of historical tick data, 2 years of historical minute data, and 10 years of historical daily data. More information about Kinetick at: http://www.kinetick.com/features

That sounds super! Is it free to use in testing?

Hi zwoop,
If you are using NinjaTrader 7 you can use the Free End of Day Kinetick data feed which is included with the install. This will enable you to access the 10 years of historical daily data. More information at:
http://www.kinetick.com/end-of-day
However, if you wish to access the 30 days of tick data, and 2 years of minute data you will want to subscribe to the base symbol package from the purchase page: https://www.kinetick.com/purchase
In addition to that historical data you can choose to add any exchanges that are supported for access to the real-time data for any instruments that reside on the particular exchanges you add.
