HelloHello

First before I make any comment of improvements, I would like to say that I am very impressed with the software, support, etc...

however oh please oh please oh please

if you would please add the (3) following things to Ninja Trader oh dear would it make my life much much easier.

Okay I am automating my trading through TradeStation and sending the orders to IB. I'm using the TradeStation DLL.

3 things:
For limit orders:
1) IB has I'm thinking like 7 different types of limit orders, NT only has 2 supported types GTC, and DAY. I need type OPG.

2) Please make a feature "only to be executed during regular trading hours"

3) To be able to select which exchange you are routing to. I know you can select this in Ninja Trader, but if you choose ARCA, then it is ARCA for every order you place. I would like to be able to route to ARCA when I need to and route to NYSE when I need to.

I would love you forever if you could make that possible.

Thanks

1 + 3) Thanks for your suggestions. We'll add them to the list.
2) Please check out your IB account connection options. There's one option to manage RTH "orders".

I have the option of RTH orders check for IB. However when I go through the IB API has no effect. I placed an order and it was immediately executed in the after hours market

Please check our IB connectivity guide
http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_interactivebrokers.htm:

Trigger after hours – Enable this if you want stop orders to trigger outside of standard trading hours. This will only work if you also have “Allow triggering outside of regular trading hours” enabled in TWS
(Configure > Order > Stop Trigger Method menu)

I suggest unchecking the “Allow triggering outside of regular trading hours” in TWS. This should achieve what you are looking for.

thank you dierk,

however this setting is only good for orders that you enter manually. If you enter orders via the API this setting will not be honored

Did you try this:
Uncheck the TWS option “Allow triggering outside of regular trading hours” and (!) uncheck “Trigger after hours” in NT account connection settings.
