View Full Version : Unable to connect to IB

Today I upgraded IB to latest version 847.
After that I could no longer connect from Ninja V4.0.24 .
So I ran the "downgrade version" option from IB website and then tried again.
This didnt work either.
This didnt work. I tried connecting using V3 of Ninja. This didnt work.
Prior to this I was connecting fine.
I am running Windows XP Pro. SP1.
Help! I need to get this sorted.

OK I have figured out why this is happening although I have no idea how to fix it.
I am running an advisor account , which currently has 2 accounts setup under the 1 login.
Previous to today, I could log in via Ninja Trader and trade against one of the accounts ( the master account) without any problem.
Now, NTrader wont connect at all to the advisor account TWS login.
If I switch to an individual account TWS login, then Ninja trader is OK and will connect without issue.
Can you do something about the connection to an advisor account type ?!!!!

Can you downgrade to the prior TWS version you had and see if you can connect?

i can only downgrade to the version that they have on their website set as the "downgrade" version. so unfortunately i cant go back to the older version i had.
