View Full Version : can't connect to NT 6.5 at all

I can't get past the loading splash page but I get FAILED TO VERIFY LICENSE.....ninjatrader is having problems connecting to its servers....
After I close this dialog i get ..... :"Unable to recover NT custom dll.....please reinstall NT:
Access to path C:'// NinjaTrader.Custom.dll is denied."
But i can connect to NT 7 but I dont use this to trade!
Please help.....I have just removed NT 6.5 and reinstalled but Still can't get on!

I believe you sent the same inquiry by email, which I just replied to. Please see my response below.
I tested your license key on my and and I did not experience the error message on my end. Can you please re-enter the license key at Help-->License Key. If you experience the same error message, it indicates NinjaTrader cannot connect to its license server to verify the license you have entered and load the connectivity provider authorized as per your license. Please check for software such as (corporate) firewalls, spyware and anti-virus software that could be blocking NinjaTrader.
NinjaTrader itself connects to standard web address via HTTP protocol through whatever port is defined for internet browsing on the target PC (Port 80 by default) to connect to its license server. Make sure this port is not blocked on your PC or internet connection setup (router).
The second error indicates NinjaTrader could not access the Custom.dll file. Likely, this is caused by security software, such as firewalls and anti-virus software as well. Please ensure that such software is not blocking the (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5 folder.

Thanks jason...got it to work!
for some reason the "defense" was turned on on my security software.
