How about this:

Under "Tools>Options>General" tab, put a checkbox that says "Don't open Workspaces at startup"

Waiting for 6 charts to load when all I really wanted was 1 chart is annoying.

Also, it would be great to be able to simply save and load charts.

Thx for consideration.

Hello TikDaddy,

Thank you for your post and your feedback.

I will forward your suggestion to our development team to add to their list of future considerations.

As a workaround, you can go to File--> Close workspace and close all of your open workspaces at the time you shut down NinjaTrader and close any open windows in the default workspace to keep it blank. Then when you shut down NinjaTrader, click "Yes" to save the default workspace as a blank workspace and the next time you start NinjaTrader, it should open to a blank workspace.

From there you should be free to select whatever charts or workspaces you would like to view at that time.

I have several workspaces open at any given time, but I always have one named "Blank" that just has the control panel on it. I use shift F3 to flip thru the different workspaces. When the "Blank" workspace comes up, it effectively minimizes all the charts, without them living in the task bar. If you always close NT while in the "Blank" workspace, it will allways open in it too.

Hope this helps.

Gang,

Thx for the tips but I have pretty much figured them out already.
It is only necessary to -> remember <- to do it. lol

I also use some other trading platforms (eSwindle and FailStation) and I got
accustomed to how they work. I just need to use Ninja more often I guess.
