Connecting to Tradestation

When I try to add a Connection, I don't see Tradestation listed there as a provider? Is it Trading Technologies? If so, what do I enter for all the settings in the Connection Options screen?

What exactly is the 'External Data Feed'? Where is that data coming from and what symbols and time frames are supported?

Thanks for the links Ryan. One of them says:

"The interface is NOT designed to dynamically populate NinjaTrader charts with historical data from TradeStation "

Suppose I want to run a test in NT using 5 days of 10 min bars of @ES from Tradestation. Is that going to work? What's ok to do and what's not ok?

You will not be able to populate your NinjaTrader charts with historical data from TradeStation with the external data feed. The TradeStation feed is real-time only.

The data must first be exported from TradeStation and then imported into NinjaTrader. Instructions for data import are here:

What do I need to do if I want to run a NT multi-timeframe strategy on exported TS historical data? Example: I want to run a strategy with 5 and 60 minutes bars. Do I just export 5 minute bars and NT will create the 60 minute ones or do I need to do two exports?

Brooks, you would export 1 min data from TS with those steps and then import it in NT, so your other frames needed could be build internally from it - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/TradeStationHistoricalDataDownloader.html

Yes you may feed Forex, Equities, Futures and Indecies data from TradeStation into NinjaTrader when connected.
