When trading CME exchange instruments, the exchange is almost 24 hours but closes for 15min and then re-starts a new day.
If ATM Strategy is working at the time the position stays in play but the Stop is pulled off. Then when the exchange re-opens, we are left with a naked order. I think one solution to this is to use a GTC order for the Stop (and limit) orders.
I'm sure I've seen this option somewhere in the App but now I can't find it.
I mainly trade via the chart.
How do I make a working Day stop order into a working GTC stop order?

In the Chart, there is a a the "..." button, press this and change TIF to GTC.

* The only brokerage that supports GTC for futures is IB. If you are elsewhere orders will still be Day orders.

I see this post is almost 4 years old. I cannot find the "..." button on the chart. My broker/clearing agent, Vision financial, support GTC stops on futures (at least the ones I trade). If I call them, they will set a GTC stop for me, which then immediately shows up on my chart. The name field when you list the orders in CP is 'External'. How do I avoid calling them and set my own GTC stops?

Hello doctore,

You will need to enable ChartTrader in your chart and you will see the '...' button. Please see link below.
