Today I found that NT tells your daily P&L, and keep tracks of that since you started trading. Today the P&L seemed to be correct, however I noticed that the "other days" seemed to be off. There was one day it said I made 5000. I can't remember that...wish it were true, but I don't think so.

1)when it calcuates your P&L for the day is that just based on trades? I have other stocks in my IB account, but those are just there so I can trade off the margin? is interest paid calcuated in this P&L statement?

Hi:

Thank you for your post.

If you notice an incorrect PnL calculation, you can go to Tools > Options > Misc tab and choose 'Repair DB'. Shutdown NT and restart the application and this should resolve.

Also, check to make sure whether or not this was a Sim trade or a live trade as both can appear in the Performance report. Perhaps, you had submitted a sim trade that made a $5000 profit.

Your Performance report will calculate only the trades submitted within the NT application.

Interest paid is not calculated within this Report.
