I can see in my documents where I am supposed to paste the SP500 list but upon reloading NT it does not see that list.

Not sure how to get that list into NT, is there another way??

Hello,

NinjaTrader installs with the DOW 30 and NASDAQ 100 instrument lists. You can import additional lists by following the instructions in the link below.

Yes I have the same issue. I copied the Instruments.txt file from SP500.zip into Program Files\NinjaTrader 6\db, but the stocks are not available when NT is restarted. Any suggestions ?

In the 6.5 Beta notes, importing of instrument lists is mentioned as a feature. I've installed this version but can't see how the instrument manager is different to version 6. Could you please help as I seem to be missing something here.....

In 6.5 the SP500 is already included in the default database. To import, see File > Utilities

Thanks for the quick reply; I used the utilities list import and it works very well. ;)
However, I still do not see the S&P500 in 6.5; the Instrument.txt (116Kb) contains the SP500 symbols, and the mdb is of smaller size (2124Kb) than in version 6.0 but the instruments & lists that come up in IM are the same in both versions: Indices, Dow, & Nasdaq. I still seem to be having the same problem in 6.5 as in 6.0, namely that the symbols in Instrument.txt are not being imported at startup. Could you please help ?

DB is smaller since we have reduced memory usage for storing instruments in 6.5.

In 6.5, Tools > Misc > Reset Instruments --> Does this work?

Yes that's fixed it, thanks!
