View Full Version : Kagi Chart Plotting error

Hello,

With NT 7.0.0.19 and previous versions of NT7, I get erroneous Kagi chart representations. The flaw is clear when the reversal type is in Percent.
With reversal in ticks it looks ok at first glance, but on close inspection there are too many reversals where there should only be continuous vertical lines.

Attached you will find one image containing 4 Kagi charts, for APPL over the last 12 months :
- top left: NT7 Weekly Kagi with 4 tick reversal
- bottom left: NT7 Weekly Kagi with 2 percent reversal
- top right: ProRealTime Weekly Kagi with 4 tick reversal
- bottom right: ProRealTime Weekly Kagi with 2 percent reversal

The two ProRealTime charts match and have been manually checked.
Could you please verify if you have the same problem with Kagi ?

Gryll,

Comparing Kagi charts to a different data feed is not an apples to apples comparison. Different data will yield different looking Kagi charts, but we will look into the percent mode plotting. Thanks for the post.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.
We have compared the data feeds (in NT7 and ProRT).
As you can see in the attached file, the data feeds match.
We therefore expect the Kagi Charts to be identical, for the tick reversal type, between NT7 and ProRT.
Also, as you already pointed out, we expect the percent reversal type to be similar to the tick reversal type, in NT7.

Gryll, unfortunately I could not compare to your ProRT platform, but I'll see with the ones I have available here - small differences moving across platforms are to be expected unfortunately.
