Hi
Via the instrument list I have tried to open up Danish stocks which yahoo supports, but it does not seem to work? It only allows me to open American stocks?
Assuming that there is no solution and I canīt open any kind of european lists I have tried to import historical data from Yahoo in the .csv format, but it gives me the following error in the log (NKT is the stock - copenhagen stock exchange)
"02-09-2007 13:19:22 Default NKT: Unexpected number of fields in line '1', should be 6 or 3"
I have looked at the following link, but found no answer seeing that the yahoo format is should corret. The only difference is that yahoo has a line 7 with "adjusted volume"

You must manually add each Danish instrument into NinjaTrader manually. I am not sure if we support that specific exchange in the Instrument Manager, you will need to check this.
The problem with the import is that the 1st line of the file does not contain the correct specified number of fields.

Thank you for your response! I assume that the problem with the .csv file from Yahoo is that it contains 7 variables because it also includes "adjusted close" ?
Iīm pretty sure that Ninjatrader does not support Copenhagen Stock Exchange (that is why it is so important for me to get the import function to work), but it for example supports Olso Stock Exchange (OSE), but I canīt seem to get manually added stocks to work?...
...how would you manually add for example the stock: SIOFF which is listed on OSE using the Instrument Manager, so I can later retrieve a graph...step by step please, Iīm really not good at this

- which broker is this? IB?
- what are the exact strings for the exchanges you'll need? OSE? else?
Thanks

Thanks again for responding so fast. Im really sorry, but when you are refering to the broker I donīt know what you exactly mean? Iīm only using data from Yahoo - was that the answer?
Regarding the exact strings thats more troublesome. For example in Ninjatrader Oslo Stock Exhange is listed as OSE, but I have also seen it listed as "XOSL" in for example my SAXO TRADER ( my tradeplatform). But I need the following exhanges:
Copenhagen Stock Exchange: CSE
Oslo Stock Exchange: OSE or OSL
Stockholm Stock Exchange: SSE or OME
Hope that helped?

Sorry, misunderstanding on my end. Apparently our YAHOO adapter does not support these exchanges. I'll add this to the list for future considerations.

Tools -> Instument Manager -> Master Instuments -> New, then:
The Mapping for NKT (= example for Copenhagen)
Master instrument: NKT
instrument type: Stock
description: NKT HOLDING
url: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=NKT.CO
Misc -> symbol map -> Yahoo: NKT.CO
Example for Oslo:
Master instrument: NHY
instrument type: Stock
description: Norsk Hydro
url: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=NHY.OL
Misc -> symbol map -> Yahoo: NHY.OL
Example for Stockholm:
Master instrument: SCOR
instrument type: Stock
description: SWITCHCORE
url: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=SCOR.ST
Misc -> symbol map -> Yahoo: SCOR.ST
Det funktionerer ?
