I have been able to import historical tick data for some recent future contracts in NT 6.5.

I am having a problem importing data for old futures contracts because I need to have that contract in the instrument list BEFORE I could import the data.

Let"s say that i have tick data for ES 09-08. When I go the the instrument manager and try to add this contract to the list, I can't because the drop down menu does not go that far back. Is there a way to add this contract to the list of default contracts so that i could import the historical data for this specific contract? Thank you.

Tony

Hello Tony,

Unfortunately, the instrument manager will only list expiries up to one year ago.

However, you can set your PC clock temporarily to a date back in time, which allows you to select expiries around this date. Make sure NinjaTrader is closed and set your PC clock to a date in 2008. Start NinjaTrader and you should be able to select older expiries.

Once you added the instrument, close NinjaTrader and set back your PC clock to the current time.
