Trade through broker and having data feed from data vendor?

Hi everyone,

and I am sorry if this question has been already answered (if so please point to post) or if it seems too obvious...

I would like to know if it is possible to have a different data feed feeding my charts and having a different broker to handle my executions... what I mean is not using both services from the same place...

an example could be ,, having IB as a broker and a third party data vendor for data...

is that possible?

Thank you for your post.

Yes, this is possible.

Connect to your datafeed provider first (i.e. eSignal, DTNiQ, Open Tick), then, connect to IB second.

Your charts and order entry windows will be receiving data from the datafeed, but when you submit a live order, your executions will occur with IB.
