View Full Version : Database and system memory

I am running approx 70 markets in market analyzers, and calculating 2 indicators over 3 different tick bar lengths each.

I am suffering a lot of crashes now, although I have increased my system memory to 4GB. I also find that it takes an increasingly long time to launch the NT app.

I am wondering about the size of the DB I am building. I looked in the NT DB folder and see that I have 2 db files. One is 463mb and the other 473mb. They both have a similar time stamp, though one is named: Ninja Trader.Old.

Question: 1. do I need both databases, and do I need to maintain them at this size (my indicators look back over 25 bars which is about 6 days data at most)?
2. Is there anything I can do to reduce the draw on my system memory when running the analyzers (5 different templates)?

thanks

Nick

1) You don't need the "old". You can delete that one.
