Hi,
Is there a way to save the work you have done on a chart? E.g. all the trendlines, markers, text etc. so that if you accidentally close the chart, you are able to reopen it with all the work you have done already on the chart?
Thanks! ;)

Hi balllightning,
Thank you for your post.
The drawing objects will not be saved as part of a Chart Template. You can save chart properties, and applied indicators by using a template.

However, if you wish to save applied drawing tools you will want to do so using the Workspaces. After making changes please go to File-->Workspaces-->Save Workspace As. Please see the following link.

Hi RyanOlson,
Just to understand this point a bit better, I have a couple of questions:
Suppose someone is following 100+ of instruments and would like to store any drawings applied into their charts. In that case, would he or she have to create and save a workspace per instrument and then flick through those workspaces as required? I guess this is ok as a workaround but surely not as a long-term solution?
Would those drawings (e.g. trendlines) move accordingly with every new bar that is loaded into the chart? Or would we need to re-adjust the lines with each new bar?
Thanks.

Hi Stopped,
Thank you for your post.
1. If you are following all of those instruments within one workspace you can save that workspace with the drawing objects applied. However, and this relates to number 2, the objects will not be shown on the current time, but at the time where they were applied.
With NinjaTrader 7 we have made enhancements to the drawing tools so that they can be applied to the instruments you watch without saving as part of a workspace, but they will still be tied only to the specific time of application.
