The continuous contract sysmbol when opened in a chart will crash NT. FOr example, if I have a minute chart of ES 09-07 open, everything is fine. However, when I select the ES ##-## contract the progrma closes with an error message. This is unusual because for months all I have used is the continuous ##-## contracts.

Could you please send me you zipped DB to "dierk AT ninjatrader DOT com". Best send it by Help->Mail to support, where you put in my mail address.

I also would need to know (could not see by video):
- which contracts are these
- which interval
- what lookback period

After sending me the DB please try this:
- Tools->Options->Misc->Repair DB. Issue resolved?
- if no and you have a historical data provider: try reloading data for the instrument, interval and lookback period in question explicitely by Tools->Historical Data->Reload. Issue resolved?

Dierk,
I have discoved the app crashes only with market replay recorded instruments in the contiuous contract. I opened chart ZF 09-07 then swithched to ZF ##-##....no problem. This 5yr note was never previously recorded. lookback was 5 days, 5min chart. As I cycle through various instruments with the ##-## I have no problem until I get to the two instruments I record...the ES & YM.

Then the app crashes.

Should I go ahead with the repair DB? What is the downside to this? COuld I lose my recorded data?

Can you recommend a good file zip, pack utility that is free?

Thanks

Z

- please make sure you are on 6.0.1000.4
- please proceed as per below. The email feature will zip the DB by default
- you won't loose any data
