- is this sim account (Sim101)? yes, your observation is correct, since the PnL is stored in the local DB
- is this a broker live account? This should not happen. What broker are you with?

i made a trade on 1 computer tonight and went to another computer 2 hrs later and the ninja software shows no p@l and doesn't show the trades i made. somehow the broker i'm with doesn't seen to have a seemless flow from there date to your software. as i said before my p@l is not going back to zero at 3:30 central time when the new afte rhrs futures day starts. my brokers advantage futures. please advise what i need to to do resolve this? this is not on sim but realtime

Unfortunately switching computers is not supported since there is relevant data in your DB which is needed for proper PnL calcs.

What is NT's sugestion to use two PCs to manage the one account? If I go to work or home and use the PC there, I would still need to monitor positions and modify or place orders at times. How can we best acheive this?

Unfortunately this is not supported.

Ok, no problem.
Here is a theory which I would like some feedback on if possible:
1. Enable Automatic Trading Interface in NT
2. Set up specific email account with free provider
3. Set my email program to check mail every minute
4. Set my email program to automatically forward any emails received on that account to NT using LOCALHOST (Tradestation email interface)
5. AT Strategy is triggered with parameters set in the email
Could this work?

Will not work, since you would need to simulate the exact TS email format which NT accepts. This format has e.g. no notion of a strategy or so but is just plain order submission/change/cancellation.
I suggest trying the NT ATI DLL interface for better order flow control.
