This property refers only to total bars loaded on a chart - not "real time bars", correct?

That is, if I'm working with a 5 minute chart and load 2 days of data, I'll be covered in a scenario where I need 20 bars of data -

I just want to make sure this property doesn't refer to real time bars added after historic data is loaded.

Yes, historical data bars loaded on the chart will satisfy this condition.

With 2 days on a 5min chart, you'd have plenty.
