Hi,
In a chart I am always getting the default instrument list for changing the instrument of the chart. How do I change the instrument of the chart to an instrument that is not the part of the default instrument list?

Hi Eklavya,
Thank you for your post.
The Default Instrument list is the only list that will be visible from within a chart toolbar dropdown, as well as other order entry windows. However, you can edit the Default list to include any instruments that you wish. Please see the following link for more information.

Also, from a chart you can simply type the instrument symbol. This brings up a small change instrument box, which when you have finished typing the symbol you can hit enter.

Could you please elaborate on the above? I am not able to figure this out.

Eklavya,
If the chart is the active window which you can ensure by left clicking the chart background you will type on your keyboard. As you begin typing a small Change Instrument box will open which will provide you a visual for the instrument you are changing to.
If the instrument has not been added to NinjaTrader it will be automatically added with this process as well.
