Bar updating, but no new bars

I'm having a bit of trouble with my charts- for some reason, I'm getting live data no problem. However, when update time rolls around for my YM 5m chart rolls around, no new bar appears. The only way to update it is to somehow toggle the thing either by switching to another time frame and back again, or closing the chart and starting it again.

I'm using 6.0.1000.4, and Zen-Fire for my connection.

New bars are not formed at real time boundaries. They are formed when a new tick for a new bar comes into the application.

For example:

5 min bars
9:04:59
you are expecting at 9:05, a new bar to be formed.
A new bar is formed on the next tick to come in that has a time stamp at 9:05:00 or greater. If a tick does not come in for 1 minute, then you will not see the new bar formed for that entire minute.

That makes sense, but I'm not updating bars at all- even as 9:30:01 passes and I'm watching the bars move. Ticks are coming in, the market is updating, but the new bar never comes in. This went on for 30 minutes before I toggled between 1min and 5min to get the new bars in, and has continued, with me having to toggle to get the update, and the new bar only coming in when I start again.

In other words, I'm seeing all the right bars as of the time I start a chart, but thereafter all tick data, ad infinitum, is placed into the last bar as of the beginning of the chart. No new bar comes in after the chart loads. Any ideas?

Please verify the following for me...

Close your charts and open a New Chart.

Check under the Format Data Series window, is the Last Date field set to today's date?

If the answer is no, please change to today's date and then verify if you receive data and your chart updates in real time.

Indeed- the Last Date field is definitely on today's date (the 21st, currently). I'm also definitely receiving live data, it's just that new bars don't come in, so tick data will come in on one bar only. To get a new bar I have to close my chart and open a new one- toggling between time frames no longer works.
