Merging hist data vs. DoNotMerge....

Contract Rollover and..... nothing.. Tradestation provides the continuous Contract '@ES'; Ninja doesn't. Reading the manual: You just have to merge your data.... :rolleyes:

Ok, well.... I merge just 3 month of data from ES 12-09 to ES 03-10. Then i want to merge 6 month of data frm ES 03-10 to ES 06-10... and so on... But: the first step takes a lot of time, and still doesn't end yet. How long does the merging process take? :mad: I only see a window 'Loading Data...' ES 12-09 and a Button 'Abort'

Now i got an error-messege: not enough virtual memory..... Could i exclude tickdata from merging?


Now i read in several threads something about a 'DoNotMerge' property... what's that?:confused:

Continuous contracts are available if supported by your provider. Currently IQfeed and eSignal offer this. To view continuous contracts you would select ## - ## for the contract expiration.


MergePolicy is new with version 7. You set it to automatically merge contracts during rollover. See here for a description of merge policies in NinjaTrader. (http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt7/data_tab.htm?zoom_highlightsub=merge%2Bpolicy)

Unfortuantely you can't exclude specific intervals in the merging process.
