Start-Up of Chart Trader in live mode

Hi NT,

I use quite a number of chart and I trade directly from the charts. When I start my NT application I need to select my live account for every single chart, as this open in SIM 101 (Demo-Trading).

How can I get my NT to start directly in Live-Trading Mode?


Further to above the same holds true for the ATM Strategy This starts in >None> mode, whould it be possibel to get the NT to open with my choosen ATM strategy for chart trading ?

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your post.

After you have your account selected within your windows please go to File-->Workspace-->Save Workspace to keep the settings upon startup. Also please go to Tools-->Options-->Simulator tab-->uncheck Always start in simulation-->Click Ok.

Unfortunately there is not an option to save a default ATM Strategy at this time within NinjaTrader however, I will forward this to our development team for future considerations.

Thanks for your reply.

This is not working, it still open with in SIM mode as soon as I connect to data provider and does not change when I connet to my broker.

How can this be solved?

I apologize I have spoke with one of our development members and there is not a way to have a specific account selected upon startup. I will forward this note to our development team for future considerations.

Would appriciate both items as it quite a task to do this and I want to concentrade on trading.

But why does NT have the selection >Always start in simulation< when this does not make a difference any way - What is ther perpuse?

This option is available if you do not want to have access to any live accounts upon startup and connection to your broker. With this option selected the user is required to go to File and uncheck Global Simulation Mode in order to access any Live accounts, kind of like a safety if wanted.
