I see few threads speaking about similar issues, but although I checked all the parameters the difference remains.
I'm comparing a EMA 200 on close in a 15" time frame in a 3 days chart. The equivalence in MA is 288 columns back,... but the value of EMA in the chart and in the MA is very different,...
Any other possible explanation?
How many columns can I go back? if I try to put a big number it doesnt respond...
Thanks in advance for your help

Hello Domenech,

Please ensure the EMA uses the exact same settings in both the chart and Market Analyzer.

Make sure 'Calculate on bar close' uses the same setting.

Ensure the EMA uses the same amount of historical data. Right click in the Market Analyzer and select Properties. Check how many bars the Market Analyzer will look back. Make sure at least a value of 200 is entered.

It seems that you are right and some differences between bars number and dyas in the chart can affect,... I will work on it,....
There is any maximum quantity for bars back in the MA?

Hello Domenech,

Unfortunately such an option is not supported in the Market Analyzer in NinjaTrader 6.5. However, NinjaTrader 7 does support such an option in the Market Analyzer.
