Currently I have ninja trader for the single broker account @ IB and it's working well. I have a friend that has an IB account. would it be possible with the multi broker one to route orders to mine and to his?

... or is it just able to route orders to the same person

Thanks

You could set up 2 different IB account connections, one for your account and one for your friend's account.

thank you derek. In order to do this you would have to purchase the multiple broker one right?

Nope. You can setup infinite amount of account connections. However, you should try to be connected to 2 IB account connection with the same NT instance at the same time. But this is a technical and not a license restriction.

For clarification, you can connect to multiple IB TWS instances with on NT instance. If the accounts in each TWS instance belongs to you, you can use one license of NinjaTrader. If the accounts on each TWS instances are held by different parties, then you need one valid NT license for each unique party.

This is a licensing requirement.

License A: $995 lifetime (single broker)
License B: $1500 / lifetime (multiple broker)

Scenario1
Okay, so if they are different parties I need one vaild NT license for each unique party. So would I have to buy (2) license A's? Or would I be able to accomplish that using just (1) license B?

Scenario2
I want to trade an account in my name at IB and an account in my name at Broker X (that is support by NT). I would need to purchase license B, correct? License A would not be able to do this

Scenario3
I want to trade 2 accounts both at IB that are both in my name. This can be accomplished by using license A. Correct? you would not need license B?

Scenario1
You will have to purchase two license A's

Scenario2
You will have to purchase license B

Scenario3
You only need to purchase 1 license A
