Hi!
When I trade currencies, like GBP/USD and EUR/JPY, in which currency is the profit in the account performance tab displayed? Are there any conversions?
Thanks, DH

Hello DH008,
Thank you for your post.
All currency performance values will be displayed in U.S. Dollars. Unfortunately, there is no way to cause these values to be displayed in any other currency, but this is on my development team's list of future considerations for the software.

Kyle, thanks for your quick reply.
Do I understand you correct? If I trade EUR/JPY and the profit is 300, it displays the profit in US$ but in reality the profit is 300 JPY? Or is it 300 EUR?

Hi DH008,
Correct, the value displayed is in US Dollars.

Example Strategy Analyzer:
EUR/JPY
Quantity: 127850
Entry price: 112.935
Exit price : 113.19
Profit: $326.02
The profit should be JPY 32601.75.
So what kind of profit does the stategy analyzer report? The profit is just divided by 100, and thats it. The profit does not represent JPY, nor USD nor EUR, so what is it?

Hello DH008,
1.) Which version of NinjaTrader 7 are you using? (Help > About)
2.) If you run an Account Performance report, which value do you receive?

Version 7.0.0.16.
I did not run an account performance report yet.

Hi DH008,
Please do run that performance report and let me know which value is listed.
Note: You may need to add the executions if these results are from the strategy analyzer. To do so, right click in the Executions tab of the Control Center, select Add then fill out the menu that pops up with the information you provided in post #5.

Added the executions, now I get a profit of 355.93 (line 2 in the account performance trades report)?

DH008,
Please see the rate to convert the earnings to USD in your first screenshot.
0.01091762650
Multiply that by your earnings of 32601.75 and you are left with $355.93 which is precisely what you see in the performance report.

Ok, I understand how this is handled with live data. The profit is always converted to USD with the current rate.
But in a backtest with the strategy analyzer the conversion rate is always 1 and the profit shown is the profit in JPY divided by 100.
Thanks, DH

DH,
Correct, in a backtest that is the behavior.
