Forex data via GAIN

Hello,

I have installed GAIN connection and works fine.
But I can only get histroical data for one year, is that right?

Does anybody know where I can get more data, paid or free?

Hello no111,

You should be able to load more than 1 year of historical data when you have historical data set to the NinjaTrader server (check the Gain connection via Tools-->Account Connections). The Gain server only provide 24 hours of historical data.

When I test the EURUSD on my end using 2000 days back, I receive data starting at 5/9/2006.

This is strange, I did set it to daily.
But when I put on a 1min chart it does give me more than one year..

Are there any other settings to set? The same problem I have with backtesting..

Unfortunately this is as expected when using a daily interval. Daily data starts at 3/30/2009.

You could export the historical minute data in the Historical Data Manager. Subsequently import the minute data and choose to create daily bars from the minute data as well.
