I would like to learn the following:

1. Is there a way to select from a different "Instrument List" other than "Default" from a chart? I have a list of ETFs, a list of commodities, a list of futures, etc. Can I pull from these lists in any way?

2. Is there some easy way to list a number of charts that are open via a list/tabs/buttons, other? The idea would be to easily click between numerous open charts, some of which are for the same instrument but on a different time scale/look back.

3. What happened to the "Format Data Series" in the chart pull-down? It is in the demo video (down level) but seems to be gone in V.7. This was a nice way to quickly change # of days viewed.

Thanks for any assistance.

Regards,
R

Additionally, or alternatively, is there a way to code a button to toggle workspaces (or any hot key combo)? That would work....

Hello,

Are you using NT7?

1. In the top left there is a box you can type in whatever instrument you want to use. They do not have to be on an instrument list.

2. Thank you for the suggestion.

3. It is now named just "Data Series" when you right click on a chart.

Ben,

Yes. NT7.

Josh,

Ah, yes, I get a box to enter a new symbol when I double-click on the old symbol. I was only single clicking and receiving a pull down menu. My error.

Re: item #2 - a quick way to switch charts. For me this is the same as a quick way to switch workspaces - which is Shift+F3 by default here - but I was looking for a tab or button. No big deal.

Thanks to both of you for the reply. I greatly appreciate it.

Regards,
R

so if i understand correctly, there is no way to get other 'instrument list' from the drop down in a chart. yes i know i could go ahead and type in the symbol one at a time or i could populate my default list with all the stuff iwant to look at, but it makes no sense to not be able to pull instruments off of all of my list once in a chart. am i stupid? or is ninjatrade waaaayyyy overrated, and can't do simple things?

Jim,

Drop down is linked to the Default instrument list. Any instruments you want to use in the drop down menu will need to be placed in the Default list.

Thank you for the suggestion.
