Hi.
When opening NT I often get a message stating "Failed to Verify License". This has become more frequent over the past few weeks after I had to reload NT from your server. There is no issue with my internet connection, by the way. Any thoughts on this?

thx
David

Hi:

Thank you for your post.

Please check your firewall settings. Turn them off and create a permission for NinjaTrader to access the internet. Then re-enter the license.

Best regards,

Interesting one. Checked the firewall settings - without changing anything NT has full inbound/outbound access to the internet......i have opened NT application without any issues today after checking this. Hopefully the issue has gone away - I will keep you informed if it comes back again.

thx David

I had this problem today too - early morning London time. Nothing to do with the firewall as there were no problems yesterday. Must be either at your end or some routing problems that have gone away now.

I am getting this quite a bit as well. NT has full http access through Outpost firewall. Rather than wait for NT to load fully and then restart - I have taken to ending the NT process via taskmanager - and restarting. Usually on sencon start it is OK.

I was wondering in connection times are involved - as am in UK - and thinking that maybe there is slightly more delay in accessing servers.

Also, is it really necessary for NT to connect to servers on every book - to recheck license?

Best,
Simon

NT has two servers it checks and times out on each one for five seconds, for a total of 10 seconds before it goes into sim mode.

If it continues, please let us know.

Hi Ray,

Yes, I am keeping on getting the error.

Though now I can't get it to connect at all - even on a second or third restart.

Also, when I try to repair the app, I get this error:

'A network error occurred while attempting to read from the following file .....\temp\tmp2C.tmp'

Do you know what this error related to. I have tried deleting the tmp2C.tmp file, but makes no difference.

Best,
Simon
